Privacy Policy
ASKForge Software LLC ("ASKForge," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites, applications, and other products and services that link to this policy (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope of this Policy
ASKForge Software LLC operates as an umbrella company that may offer multiple products, applications, and services. This Privacy Policy is a general policy that governs the personal information we collect across those Services where this policy is linked. Some of our products have their own dedicated privacy policy that describes the information practices specific to that product; in that case, the product's own privacy policy governs your use of that product and controls to the extent it differs from this policy.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not own or control, even if they are accessible through our Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide to us, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your name, email address, username, password, and any profile details you choose to add when you register for or use the Services.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support, respond to surveys, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Payment information — if a Service requires payment, billing details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers.
- Content — information, files, or other materials you submit, upload, or create while using the Services.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — pages or screens viewed, features used, actions taken, and the dates and times of your interactions.
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and general location inferred from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in the Cookies & Tracking section below.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from service providers, analytics partners, authentication providers (for example, if you sign in using a third-party account), and other sources, which we combine with the information described above.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices;
- respond to your requests, questions, and support needs;
- send administrative messages and, where permitted, marketing communications you can opt out of;
- monitor and analyze usage, trends, and performance to develop new features;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support, under obligations to protect your information.
- Within our company — among ASKForge Software LLC and its products, where this supports operation of the Services consistent with this policy.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ASKForge, our users, or others.
- With your direction — when you ask us to share information or otherwise consent to the sharing.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and improve them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect the functionality of the Services. Where required by law, we obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, the Services currently do not respond to such signals.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your personal information;
- opt out of certain processing, including marketing communications and, where applicable, the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out described above. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Contact Us section. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International Users
ASKForge Software LLC is based in the United States, and the Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The Services may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing your information.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
